Is SMYTH gear built for real outdoor use?

Yes. Our products are designed around heat, humidity, sun exposure, salt air, movement, and long wear. The goal is gear that performs when the day gets long — not just when you first put it on.

Will SMYTH gear help keep me cooler?

Our performance pieces are designed to help manage heat, airflow, and moisture. No piece of apparel can remove heat completely, but better airflow and lighter fabric can make a major difference during long days outside.

Is SMYTH gear built for all-day wear?

Yes. That is a big part of the brand. We build for long days, changing conditions, and real use — not short wear windows or gimmicky features.

Does SMYTH gear provide sun protection?

Some SMYTH products are built with sun protection in mind. When a product includes UPF protection, it will be clearly listed on the product page so you know exactly what you are getting.

Can I wear SMYTH gear off the boat?

Yes. SMYTH is built for the water, but designed to look clean anywhere. The goal is performance gear you do not feel the need to change out of the second you step off the boat.

Is SMYTH only for fishing?

No. Fishing and offshore performance are the foundation, but the gear is designed for boating, travel, dock days, marina stops, coastal living, and everyday wear.

How is SMYTH gear sized?

SMYTH gear is designed with a clean performance fit. Most products are intended to feel athletic without being restrictive. Specific fit notes will be listed on each product page.

Is SMYTH gear true to size?

In general, yes. Order your normal size for the intended fit. If you prefer a looser, more relaxed feel, size up.

What if I’m between sizes with SMYTH gear?

Will SMYTH gear feel tight or restrictive?

How long does shipping take?

Orders typically ship within 1–2 business days. Once shipped, delivery usually takes 3–5 business days depending on your location and carrier volume.

Will I receive tracking information?

Yes. Once your order ships, you will receive tracking information so you can follow the shipment.

Do you ship internationally?

Right now, we are focused on domestic shipping. International shipping may be added as SMYTH grows.

What happens if my package is delayed?

Carrier delays can happen. If your order is delayed beyond the expected delivery window, contact us and we’ll help look into it.

What if my package says delivered but I don’t see it?

First, check your porch, mailbox, garage, delivery area, and nearby neighbors. If it still does not show up, contact us and we’ll help with next steps.

Do you offer free shipping?

Shipping options and rates are shown at checkout. If we are running a free shipping promotion, it will be clearly shown before you complete your order.

When will my order be processed?

Orders are processed during normal business days. Orders placed on weekends or holidays may begin processing the next business day.

What is your return policy?

You can return eligible items within 30 days as long as they are unworn, unwashed, and in original condition.

How do I start a return?

How long does it take to get a refund?

Once your return is received and inspected, refunds are typically processed within a few business days. Your bank or card provider may take additional time to post it.

Can I return a worn or washed item?

Returns need to be unworn, unwashed, and in original condition unless there is a defect or issue with the product.

What if my item arrives damaged or defective?

How should I wash SMYTH gear?

Wash cold with like colors. Avoid bleach, harsh detergents, and fabric softener unless the product care label says otherwise.

Can I put SMYTH gear in the dryer?

For most performance apparel, tumble dry low is best. For the longest life and best performance, hang drying is recommended.

Should I use fabric softener?

No. Fabric softener can coat performance fibers and reduce breathability, moisture movement, and overall fabric performance.

Will SMYTH gear shrink?

Minimal shrinkage is expected when cared for properly. Avoid high heat drying.

Will logos or prints fade?

Wash cold, avoid fabric softener, avoid high heat, and rinse after heavy saltwater exposure when possible.

Should I rinse gear after saltwater use?

If it has been exposed to heavy saltwater or sweat, rinsing it before washing can help keep the fabric fresh and performing well.
